I'll give a bit of a report of Project A-kon 19. I'm gonna start on Weds because I can.
Anywho....
Wedsday night, as soon as 500pm at work hit I was out the door and the hubby and I were making our merry way home to pick up our demon (my cute over grown puppy, Hana) and take her over to my bosses house. He nicely agreed to watch her while we were at the convention. Needless to say we got lost and both the hubby and I forgot our cell phones.
We luckily found the right road a few moments before we were about to head home and find a phone to call.
After that the hubby was being a sweet heart and doing the dishes, taking out the trash, and any other house related thing while I finished our season 3 costumes (told you I am insane when it comes to costumes).
2am I am nearly finished with season 3 Zuko (just need to add the gold trim on the vest). *passes out until 6am*
Thurs
Wake up at 6, and finish off Zuko's costume, Pack up the costumes, pack thread and what is left of Season 3 costume to do (stupid wave detail).
Take a shower, detour at party city so I can get face paint for the Painted Lady (forgot all about it), eat lunch and we are at the hotel before 3pm.
From 3pm to 5pm setting up the reg booths and what not.
5pm till 1100pm on the register and selling badges.
8:45pm sneak over to the mall of Americas and get some Mc Donalds for the hubby and self. Speak with with manager to reiterate the fact that thurs- sun that there is going to be very high traffic flow for food. (return to reg)
1100pm close down reg
Get the key to my hotel room (you got to love staff crash space)
about 12am-1am get delevered Italian food and hang out with the pep in the crash space rooms.
2am pass out.
Fri
about 7am wake up
shower, bronze my skin color (good 30 minutes to cover the body parts that show), work on the season 2 hair for self. (got it down to less then 10 minutes to put it up.), start working on the hubby's scar makeup, get his wig on (since we did not have time to go get his hair cut before hand and it is WAY too long for Zuko), and me finish getting ready with my costume. *loves Katara's pants, they are sooooooooooo comfy and I use them for sseason 2 and 3*
about 8-9am we go down to the Malls of Americas and eat breakfast.
10-10:30 we wonder the convention for a while, pose for pics and whatnot
11:30 we pick up lunch and it is time for the hubby's reg shift at noon.
I drop off our swag and return to the reg and help out before my shift.
During this time frame one of the funniest things to me happend. The hubby dressed as season 2 Zuko starts helping out a guy dressed as season 2 Sokka and tells him "You know your sister gets quiet bitchy." Now I am sitting right next to him dressed as Katara look up and the guy who was dressed as Sokka goes 'Yeah, she tends to do that ALLOT." I shot them both a look that could kill and Sokka runs off as I say "Excuse me!"
about 4pm I started to monitor the line and was then dubbed Line Nazi Katara. Why because I was having to raise my voice and request people to form a workable line and have people not in line to move out of the line area. Just put it this way, by the end of the night my throat was sore and my feet were killing me. I was doing that til about 11-11:30 pm nice hot shower and passing out.
Sat
7am woke up and started on the Painted Lady makeup, and hair.
9am finished with getting my costume on, helped the hubby get into the blue spirit costume.
9:30 stopped at the security booth to get hubby's twin dao peace bound.
9:45am walked around the con and met up with some people we haven't seen in ages. Hit the artist alley and posed for pics.
10:15 am went up to the dealer's area bought some games at the Wizards of the West coast booth. Got an extra 3$ off cause the guy adored my Painted Lady costume.

11:20 mall of Americas for lunch. Hubby laughing at the fact that I could eat with my monstrous hat on (it was about a good 3.5 feet all the way around and I did hit some doors with it)
11:40 making our way to the reg booth and stopped for some group shots with multiple avatar cosplayers. Hubby went down to work the booth and I wound up stuck in a ton of photo opps for a good 1hour before breaking away to the dealer's room.
1pm leave the dealer's room with 130$ worth of discounted manga.
1:15pm up in my room and working on my season 3 Katara costume and watching bubble boy (it was on and I have never seen it before)
4:45pm down to the reg booth to do my shift.
7:45 pm I take a quick break to get out of my costume
7:50pm (I got the make up off pretty quick) back down to the reg booth and working. During that time the hubby got me some chinese food for dinner and I was eating it at the register.
9:30pm closed down the reg booth
10:00 drags self back up to the hotel room and finishes the season 3 katara costume while watching Pirates of the Carabean 2.
2am finishes sewing on the waves and passes out.
Sun *day off*
shower and gets costumes on.

dealer's room (drops another 70$ on manga -this time in original japanese format-)
hubby pics up a Thai dvd called Sars Wars (cheezy and funny as hell), and a bunch of figurenes (he is happy cause he found the movable Asuka doll)
245pm make way up to rooms and we play munchkins and zombie fluxx until 6pm.
6:30 change into normal clothes, pack up and go home.
On the way home we stop at our favorite italian place and have a nice dinner.
900pm pick up the demon.
After that pretty much passout time.
Next year I do plan on going to the dances and staff parties with the hubby. *missed Steve Bennett's birthday party again, but hubby went*
